<p>On Thursday, July 13th, 2021, the event was held remotely via Zoom (online). This event was open to the public and approximately 111 participants were in attendance. With a background as students from many universities in Indonesia such as UGM, UNS, UI, Stikes Bethesda, Universitas Riau, Universitas Lambung Mangkurat, etc. The speaker of this event is Rinaldi as a Microsoft Certified who delivers topics about Office365 and its advantages. This event was created as a solution to give guidance on how to create a research document effectively using Word.</p>
<p><span>In this event, all participants were introduced to how to use the variety of features of Microsoft Word, including these topics:</span></p>

<li><span> Introduction of Office 365 for Education and its advantages</span></li>
<li><span> Creating headings and subheadings and modify them</span></li>
<li><span> Creating an Arabic and Roman numbering in 1 document</span></li>
<li><span>Creating different page formats (landscape/portrait) in the same document</span></li>
<li><span> Creating captions on pictures, adjust each chapter/heading differently</span></li>
<li><span> Creating a table of contents and a list of pictures</span></li>
</ol>
<p><span>During the 2-hours training, all participants were proactive to shared opinions, thoughts, and suggestions for consideration during the upcoming events. Hopefully, the topics of training can deliver knowledge and solve participant's problems. In our community, we delivered various Power Platforms, such as Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Virtual Agent.</p>
<p>This event was held on 8 October 2020 using Microsoft Teams (online) followed by 58 participants with a background as a government official and a non-government official. The speakers of this event are Ridi Ferdiana as a Microsoft MVP with Developer Technologies Specialist for the first session, then second second session delivered by Erick Kurniawan as a Microsoft MVP with Developer Technologies Specialist, and the last session delivered by Agus Suparno as Microsoft MVP with AI Specialist.</p>
<p>In this event, participants were introduced how to use the various of Power Platforms for supporting business activity, such as an automate system using Power Automate, build an app without coding using Power Apps, and build chatbot using Power Virtual Agent. The training event was organized titled Critical Thinking with Visual Studio. This activity was attended by educators in Institut Teknologi Bandung and held online using Microsoft Teams. All participants have a background as government officials. This workshop is held within two days with a duration of 3 hours of learning at each meeting. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>On the first day, the material discussed specifically focused on discussing how to teach students to have critical thinking skills through the utilization of Visual Studio. The day's activities were attended by 116 participants and the material was delivered by Rinaldi as a Microsoft Certified Educator. This activity was held on 17 September 2020 and has two learning objectives, among them Participants understand how to use Visual Studio as a tool to stimulate critical thinking skills and can understand the technicalities of DevOps with Azure DevOps for educators.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span>While the second day is on 18 September 2020, the activity was attended by 90 participants and the material was delivered by Ridi Ferdiana as a Microsoft Certified Trainer and Microsoft MVP. The material discussed on the second day is Computational Thinking with Microsoft Development Stack. Where on this second day after the training the participants can achieve three things, among which participants understand various stacks of Technologies on the Microsoft Platform, Participants can understand the concept of computational thinking  the project-based learning process ,and Participants can apply computational thinking on the Microsoft platform.</span></p>

In the first session, the topic discussed was Azure Fundamental Workshop for Higher Ed which was hosted by Agus Suparno and Erick Kurniawan as the Most Valuable Professional in Indonesia. The workshop was held on 15 September 2020, followed by 22 participants with backgrounds as a government official and non-government official. <p>While in the second workshop session, the topic discussed was Azure Designing for Academic Infrastructure. The second session was held on September 22, 2020, which was attended by 53 participants with backgrounds as a government official and non-government official. The material was presented by Ridi Ferdiana and Agus Suparno as Microsoft Most Valuable Professional. <p>Then, the third session of major topics discussed was Designing Virtual Labs with Azure, held on 28 September 2020, followed by 31 participants with backgrounds as a government official and non-government official. There is a lot of technology position in a company including the product managers, but many students still have low insights about how it works and what should be prepared to be a product manager. </p>
<p>The event took place at S101 Hall, Department of Electrical and Information Engineering, Universitas Gadjah Mada on 23rd February 2020. There are 2 invited speakers, Ambar Setyawan from Arutala.id (VR and AR Startup) and Endah Turunsih from Tokopedia (e-commerce startup) that have been experienced in the product management field, especially using scrum method. This event was opened by Ridi Ferdiana as the lead of Microsoft Imagine Community.  </p>
<p>The first speaker, Ambar Setyawan, brought their product with Oculus Rift device as a product sample and demo, explained the concept of the scrum, and how it works in Arutala. After that, Endah Turunsih as the second speaker began to talk about product management in a Decacorn startup, Tokopedia, including the team structure, team coordination, and task breakdown.   </p>
<p>Although the event took time on Sunday morning from 8 AM to 1 PM, more than 50 people joined the events and as a closing moment, the participants took a group photo and video that showed their excitement after attending the event. This year, PPPPTK Seni dan Budaya has a responsibility to hold some workshops that have to do with the online scheme. Based on their responsibility this year, they were holding a workshop on the topic of the virtual classroom for their staff, especially for their functional division, namely Widyaiswara and Pengembang Teknologi Pembelajaran. Specifically, this workshop discussing how to create digital learning material using PowerPoint and distributing the digital learning materials on the virtual classroom that has been created using Microsoft Teams.</p>
<p>This event was held in the third quarter (Q3) on 11 February 2020 followed by 40 participants with a background as a government official. This event was held at Ruang Sidang Kantor Pusat Seni dan Budaya and facilitated by a trainer from MIC that has been certified as Microsoft Certified Educator. Participants were explained about how to create digital teaching materials using PowerPoint Effectively using some various features that have by PowerPoint. After participants create digital learning material, participants were directed to create a virtual classroom using Microsoft Teams. In the part of the virtual classroom, participants not only be taught about how to create a virtual classroom but also how to manage, how to do some activities in the classroom, such as communication and collaboration, giving and reviewing the tasks, hold some meeting using video conference in Teams, etc.</p>
<p>Based on the feedback of participants, they were interested in Microsoft Teams, because this app can support their activity as a functional division that has the responsibility to give training to educators and education staff in Indonesia. Every year this institution held some workshops for educators and education staff, and after the event, they have responsibilities to create the report and processing the data, so they held an event namely, “Data processing and management using Excel and SharePoint Online” for their staff. The intended of this workshop is can improve the productivity of their staff and facilitate their staff to work effectively using some technologies.</p>
<p>This event was held in the third quarter (Q3) on 29 January 2020 followed by 38 participants with a background as a government official at PPPPTK Matematika. This workshop facilitated by a trainer of MIC as one of Microsoft Certified Educators. Participants were explained about how to process the data using Excel then manage the data in the cloud, namely SharePoint Online, one of the services of Office 365. When processing the data, participants were directed to use some various feature of Excel, such as data types in Excel, filtering and sorting, conditional formatting, advanced filter, mail merge, etc. while in managing document, participant were explained how to manage the document in the organization using SharePoint Online that can be accessed in Teams, so participants not only manage but also communicate in the process processing the data using Teams.</p>
<p>Based on the feedback of participants, they were interested in these tools, where these tools can reach the effectiveness and efficiency of their organization. To improve their training program, PPPPTK Seni dan Budaya held an event to support the monitoring process of the training, namely “Monitoring the Progress of Teacher Training in Indonesia Using Microsoft Teams” for their staff.</p>
<p>This event was held in the third quarter (Q3) from 21 January 2020 to 22 January 2020 followed by 38 participants on the first day, and the second followed by 37 participants with a background as a government official. This event was held at Ruang Sidang Kantor Pusat PPPPTK Seni dan Budaya and led by MIC Trainer as a Microsoft Certified Educator. The Speaker was sharing about how to monitor the progress of teacher training using Microsoft Teams as a digital hub that can facilitate the organization to do some various activities, such as monitoring training. Participants were explained how to create and manage a team, adding the member, communication to monitor the participant of the training, giving task effectively using Teams, video conferencing using Meetings feature, etc. Participants were given various insights on how to optimize Microsoft Teams that can be used to support their activity.</p>
<p>Based on the feedback form that has been shared after the event, participants were given various responses. Whereas many as 54% are interested in implementing Microsoft Teams technology to support their activities, and the remaining 46% are hesitant to apply, based on various reasons, such as regulation, the age that requires more time to learn, not familiar with applications, and so on. Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta as one of the universities in Yogyakarta that have vision become a superior university in the field of technology was held an event for their lecturer about Learning Management System using Moodle and Microsoft Teams. The aim of this event is giving insight into sustainable learning with a virtual classroom approach using Moodle and Microsoft Teams.</p>
<p>This event was held in the third quarter (Q3) on 17 January 2020 followed by 47 participants with a background as a non-government official at Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta. In this event, participants were explained about how to make e-learning engaging, creating virtual classrooms using Microsoft Teams, and integrating Moodle in Teams to make learning better. Participants were getting new insight on how to make learning more engaging according to the millennial way of learning. The speaker of this event is Ridi Ferdiana as a trainer of MIC. He directed the participants to follow every step of his explanation to get real experience to practice the virtual classroom using two Learning Management Systems in one-way access.</p>
<p>Participants of this event also give the module that contains workshop materials, so after this event, the participants can re-learn the learning in the workshop. Based on the feedback of participants, 77% of participants will implement this material workshop on their learning activity, 23% of participants still doubt implementing this model learning for various reasons, and 0% participant will not implement the workshop material in the learning activity. Hopefully, this event will bring a positive impact on the environment learning in Universitas Teknologi Yogyakarta and can reach their vision to become a superior university in tech.</p>]]></description></item></channel></rss>
