On January 5 to 6, 2014, MIC Yogyakarta got an opportunity to do a sharing session with a discussion of the material "Software Testing" in Solo, Central Java. The event is divided into two sessions. Session on the first day of the material discussed "The Fundamentals Of Testing". The focus of this chapter is to create the basic knowledge how the testing process should be planned, executed, and evaluated. The focus of this chapter is to review the testing knowledge and to update the testing knowledge with the current technology and tools. And on the second day of discussion on the matter "Pragmatic Testing Patterns". The focus of this chapter is to control and ensure the quality of software. This chapter is about how to create a quality software by using software testing method and practices.
A total of 15 people consisting of ICT staff for education was joined in this event, and also tried to practice what the speaker did with Visual Studio. Broadly speaking, this two-day session provides an understanding of the following things:
- Understanding the fundamental of testing
- Integrating the testing model into the daily sprints / works
- Planning the testing model and activity
- Understanding the practical tools to test and to assess a software
- Improving testing practices for team
