Deep Dive into Minecraft Education Edition is an activity that aims to introduce displays and controls basic in Minecraft Education Edition to educators. In this workshop, it demonstrated how to use Minecraft Education Edition. In addition, this workshop was also explained about “Minecraft Education Edition Hack! Competition. This agenda intends to increase the interest of students in studying Minecraft Education Edition.

This workshop was held in November 18, 2016 at Balai Tekomdik Yogyakarta. The participants were coming from teacher across Yogyakarta (elementary / junior high school / Senior High School) and it represents the school's participation. This workshop contained several agendas that were guided by Game Trainer Specialist from Microsoft Innovation Center Yogyakarta. This workshop was divided into two activities: presentation and practice. To begin with, this workshop was preceded by a presentation and discussion about introduction of Minecraft Education Edition. In this session, the participants were required to understand the vision and program of Deep Dive into Minecraft Education Edition and its benefit. Furthermore, the trainer showed a demo of Minecraft Edition which introduced to survival and creative. This workshop was continued with hands on lab about Science Technical and Join Multiplayer Server. At the end, the trainer opened technical discussion about the competencies Minecraft especially for submission and presentation schedule.

The second workshop of Minecraft with the theme "Deep Dive into Minecraft Edu" has some outputs. The participants understand the various controls that can be used in Minecraft Education Edition. In addition, the participants have an overview ideas about Minecraft Education Edition and educational content. Lastly, this workshop is intended that the participants are encouraged to join the competition.
