The teacher always expects to be able presenting a learning activities that is fun for the students. A space that spurs creativity, cultivate the spirit of learning and fun for the students. Various methods are used to present this mission, starting from brush up the materials, transform learning plans up to presented digital facilities in classroom. However, in fact all this thing will be back on how the teachers create creativity in learning models. It is because software and hardware will only be the tools and the key point is in the way to deliver.
Facilitating teachers’ spirit to present new model of learning, Certification and Education Division of Microsoft Innovation Center in partnership with Balai TekKomDik Yogyakarta initiated a competition to encourage teachers to be creative in creating creative learning model using Minecraft Education Edition medium. This competition was organized after the previous two sessions introducing Minecraft to teachers who were to be the candidate in this competition.
This competition was held with the series agenda starting from drafting, presentation up to final round. The final round of this competition was held on December 22, 2016 held in Balai TekKomDik. Nine (9) selected participants (out of 30 total early registrants) following the presentation in front of the judges for approximately 10 minutes. They presented about the concept of learning spaces Minecraft developed, along with learning objectives contained therein.
The judges were coming from various field, from academia was attended by Dr Ridi Ferdiana as the Research and Education Advisor MIC Yogyakarta, from the regulator was represented by Dian Nugroho coming from Balai TekKomDik, and from professionals was attended by Samuel Henry, General Manager of Digital Valley Jogja.

After going through the judging process, the judges decided to select three participants with the best value. Here are list of three names of the winners:
Those three winners were selected and get the best value because they presented a work with a very impressive quality. Where a variety of learning activities starting from the introduction of materials, enrichment up to collaboration could be created in a colorful virtual space in Minecraft. Their learning goals were very clear and the material presented in Minecraft content also arranged very neatly.
The participants were not only getting the prize and an award plaque, but also the selected winners also had the opportunity to be a Minecraft Education Trainer, who will accompany MIC Yogyakarta in disseminating the program Minecraft Education in Yogyakarta.
