This workshop was a follow up from seminar that was held earlier on January 28, 2016. The aim of this workshop is finalizing ideas from selected group before continuing to the realization of the idea through the Hackathon that will be held in April. This series events is a collaboration among Microsoft Innovation Center, Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa and LABC.

This event was held on March 10, 2016 in the Ballroom of the Central Office of Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Gajah Mada. This workshop was attended by 300 participants who have passed the selection Idea Generation. The participants are underprivileged students from across Yogyakarta. The participants were also accompanied by their respective supervisor. This workshop is divided into two sessions: morning session and an afternoon session. In each session, the students received six hours of learning. Morning session was started at 09.00 and it was finished at 12.00. Then, it was proceed with the afternoon session with different participants. Afternoon session was started at 13.00 until 16.00.

This workshop was opened with a presentation about roadmap competition and concept of Kodu. This presentation aims to broaden participant’s insight about concepts and techniques of Kodu. Afterward, this workshop was followed with writing activity of their game gameplay and storyboard with Kodu. Participants and facilitators were given opportunity to discuss with their group in order detailing their Kodu Game idea. Finally, this workshop was closed with a question and answer session between the student and the trainer from Microsoft Innovation Center. The students showed enthusiasm with a great many questions that were raised by them.

From this workshop, it is hoped that student had developed their idea be more steady for further realized in Kodu Hackhaton. Additionally, the participants also understand the concept in developing game in Kodu Game Labs.
