Nowadays, social media becomes one of the communication tool and effective information disbursement. Likewise, among educators, there are many ‘share’ through various social media channels. In response, Microsoft Innovation Center sees the opportunities that the spread of social media can be used to multiply the power of positive content about education in cyberspace. Therefore Social Chorus initiatives are intensified.

On February 25, 2016, at STMIK AKAKOM Yogyakarta, MIC together with 40 teachers in Yogyakarta explored social chorus program.  This program invited teachers to create and share a variety of positive content related to the world of education. Beginning with tips on getting the teaching resources, creation of teaching materials, and the use of digital media for teaching, this one-day workshop was concluded by sharing what has been achieved on that day to the Social Chorus.

Hopefully, when more teachers are to share good content on the internet, it will also be an effective way to minimize the spread of negative content on the Internet, especially through social media channels.
