TechTalk Office 365 for Education is a session facilitated by Microsoft Innovation Center in partnership with Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Specifically, It was held by Certification and Education Division and it was led by Randi Eka Yonida as Manager of certification and education division. This workshop aimed to share about the advantages of Office 365. This event was held at January 25 – 26, 2017 at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) and it was attended by around 70 lecturers from the Medical Faculty.


First, the participants were guided to activate their 365 account. Then they were guided by the facilitator to learn the basic of One Note, including how to create a section, page and subpage, and also inserting media, image or file attachment to enrich the content.


After the participants understand the basic of OneNote, then they were guided by the facilitator to learn how to use OneNote Classroom, a OneNote that is specially designed to facilitate academic activities, - especially teachers – students’ activities. They learn the main differences of basic OneNote and OneNote for Classroom.


They also learned how to create a Classroom Note, share it with the other teacher or students, and learned the difference of each roles, and setting up the notebook structure. On top of that, they learned to give feedback to their student's homework with the use of drawing tools, voice and video recording. They were also given a brief introduction to OneDrive, a cloud storage service from Microsoft. Which is also integrated with OneNote.


After joining this workshop, the participants finally understand what OneNote is and how to utilize it optimisely for collaboration with their colleague and students in academic environment.
