Globally Microsoft initiated a movement called "Digital Transformation", applied in various lines, education was no exception. Digital transformation implying on a technology-based approach that is able to optimize business processes in a field. Microsoft Innovation Center as a research organization concentrating on developing the competence of teachers in ICT organized a Guru Inovatif workshop entitled "Virtual Classroom Design with Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business" which aims to provide instruction regarding the practice of exploiting the productivity tools of teaching as a form of support the implementation of the virtual classroom.

Guru Inovatif workshop "Virtual Classroom Design with Microsoft Teams and Skype for Business" was held on 15 September 2017 in the Hall of Balai TekKomdik Yogyakarta, was attended by 38 participants with a background as a teacher of various level education in the city of Yogyakarta, filled by three speakers, the first speaker Mr. Ridi Ferdiana as the Principal Research Lead of Microsoft Innovation Center, the second speaker Mr. Muhammad Zulham as one of Microsoft Innovative Expert Educator from Yogyakarta, and Mr. Arya Adhitya as Learning Development Trainer of Microsoft Innovation Center.

In this Guru Inovatif workshop, we discussed about tools that can support the implementation of the virtual classroom, so that all the elements in the school can be interconnected, and can collaborate anywhere, and anytime. Mr. Ridi Ferdiana explained about various technology tools that can support virtual classroom activities, such as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, Outlook, and Planner. But the participants only explained in more depth about Microsoft Teams, what Microsoft Teams is about, what can be done with Microsoft Teams, and advanced features that can support the process of collaboration in the classroom.

Then at sharing session filled by Mr. Muhammad Zulham as one of Microsoft Innovative Expert Educator from Yogyakarta, sharing his experience as MIEE and the process of how he can become MIEE, he explains to become MIEE required high morale spirit, many sacrifices to be done, but he is sincere because all that is done for the sake of his students and for the advancement of education in the city of Yogyakarta. Then at Mr. Arya Adhitya's session, he demonstrated Skype for Business followed by the participants, the participants described the benefits and how to use them, as well as the advanced features in it.
