As a form of community service, Microsoft Innovation Center routinely held training for academics, and this occasion, the event was held in the Faculty of Engineering UGM. The trainer was delivered about Microsoft Visio as a tool that can help the user to create the process of business model with a graphical representation using a standard object, so the user can visualize the process of business and make better decisions.

In this event “Visio for Academic” was held using a mini-workshop scheme with the limited participant, so participants can get interaction and discussion with the trainer easily and deeply. This event was held on 17 October 2018 and followed by 9 participants from UGM academics. This event was guided by Arya Adhitya as a technical evangelist from Microsoft Innovation Center, he was delivering about Microsoft Visio as a tool that can be used by student of UGM to create business model, and the benefit of Student Use Benefit that has by student, which they are can get education software that provided by Microsoft as a facility from their college to improve their creativity and productivity.

Participants were explained about Microsoft Visio from the basic to customize shape and stencils, so the participant can create the design of the diagram appropriate with their case. On other hand, participants were encouraged to use facilities that provided by their college maximumly, such license of Windows operating system, Office 365 for Education, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office 2013, Microsoft Visual Studio, etc.
